Pros

  • It is free.

Cons

  • Some options are not available, like creating archives with a given size.

CoffeeCup Free Zip Wizard is a program that will let you create or uncompress ZIP files.
This free program allows users to create ZIP archives from a list of files. The users can add all the files that they want to include in the new archive and choose the folder where to save it. They can also opt to protect the new archive with a password. It is possible to create a self-extracting archive, an EXE file that will decompress the file included in the archive automatically when executed.

It is even possible to upload the created archives using the FTP protocol, or send them by email.

What's more, this wizard allows to uncompress ZIP archives, obtaining the files that are compressed in them. The program can uncompress all the files, or you can select just some of them. It can overwrite the existing files, if there are any, and use the folder names included in the archive. Then, you will be able to open the folder where you uncompressed the files.

The program also provides a function that will look for ZIP files on your hard disk. You can tell it to look in subfolders. Once the search is finished, it will show you the list of found ZIP files, and you can open any of them just by double-clicking on its name.

In my opinion, this program will cover the needs of nearly all the users. It is a good, reliable and fast product.
